Joining Chicago

In 1967, Cetera joined the band "Impressions." He was later impressed by "The Big Thing" and decided to become a member. The band subsequently changed their name to "Chicago Transit Authority" and eventually "Chicago." Cetera became a core member of the group.

Success with Chicago

Chicago became a pioneer of American rock music, experimenting with horn instrumentation and combining diverse sounds. Their meaningful lyrics often explored political and moral issues. Cetera's contributions played a significant role in the band's success. They released their debut album, "The Chicago Transit Authority," in 1969, which gained double-multiplatinum status.
